Supervising
seasonal labor and participating in planting of native plants from seed
and cuttings, weeding and thinning of native plants, sales and delivery
of plants to government agencies. Supervising and participating in
general nursery maintenance, seed collecting, general office work,
including tracking sales, maintaining propagation records, inventory,
budgeting, and ordering of supplies. Applicants will also be introduced
to the maintenance schedules of the Preserves 2-acre nursery, 90-foot
by 36-foot greenhouse, Goulds pumping station, and 3-acre grass park
area. Position involves outdoor work and applicants are encouraged to
have a familiarity with the Arizona climate.
Compensation
Salary:
$27,500 - $28,500, depending on experience. This position does not
currently offer any benefits except for Workers Compensation Insurance.
Housing is provided but the employee is responsible for
utilities/telephone.
