Job Description Zawya, A Dubai-based media firm is looking for a journalist / report to join its Beirut team.
The successful candidate has a keen interest in the region’s business and political affairs and developments.
As a journalist / writer, the successful candidate will be responsible for: 
• Collecting and analysing information about newsworthy events to write news stories for publication or broadcast.
 • Receiving assignment or evaluating news leads and news tips to develop story idea.
 • Gathering and verifying factual information regarding story through interview, observation, and research.
 • Organizing material, determining slant or emphasis, and writing stories according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
 • May be involved in editing, or assisting in editing.
 • May specialize in one type of reporting, such as business, political affairs, court trials, or other activities.
 • May be assigned to outlying areas or foreign countries and be designated Correspondent.
Qualifications Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Degree/ Field of Study: Bachelor Degree in Journalism.
- Work Experience: 1/2 years experience in Journalism / writing.

Personal qualities / Skills Needed:
- Ability to source and analyse information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Impeccable command of English and Arabic.
- Keen interest in the regions’ business and political affairs.
- Self motivated and keen to continuously improve and develop professionally.
- Able to work under pressure and result orientated.
- Computer literate (use of MS Office).
- Languages: English & Arabic (French is an advantage).
